2016

The Institute of Licensing (IoL) will be holding its first annual ‘lLicensing Awareness Week’ from the 20th to 24th June (in part) in conjunction with the Gambling Commission.

The 21st June has been entitled “Gambling and Gaming” day and will focus on gambling licensing.  The Commission has lined up a number of visits with local authority’s to a range of  ambling licensed premises including betting shops, adult gaming centres and tracks using the inspection templates for assessment at gambling premises developed by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Licensing Forum and the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).

The guides which will be used for the first time during these inspections are tailored to specific categories of business e.g. AGC, Bingo, Casino (small) etc.  They can be viewed via the above link and would provide helpful insight to Operators also, who can familiarise themselves with the relevant criteria enforcement authorities will wish to measure and assess during inspections.
